Mindset Coaching

What is Mindset Coaching?
It could be said that all coaching is mindset coaching. Coaching is about helping people to get from where they are now to where they want to be.

Coaching is about working with people to set and achieve their goals by:
1) Helping them to get clear about what they truly want
2) Reviewing where they are now and what they’ve tried so far
3) Coming up with and discussing options for action
4) Agreeing a plan to make it happen

Where mindset coaching differs, is that in addition to the four steps above, a mindset coach works with his or her clients to uncover the beliefs, blocks, behaviours, habits and patterns of thinking that prevent them from living the life or creating the business they desire.

Taking these insights into what makes their client tick, the Mindset Coach uses a range of reprogramming techniques to banish those blocks and replace them with ones that serve the client.

By working with mindset in this way, the coach paves the way for faster results, greater transformation and lasting success.

How is a mindset coach different from a therapist?
Mindset Coaches are typically skilled in using in a range of neuroscience-based and therapeutic techniques including Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Time Line Therapy (TLT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Hypnosis.

They may also be adept at energy practices like Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Energy Alignment.

This is in addition to their knowledge and experience with more traditional coaching practices.

Because Mindset Coaches have the tools to gain deep insight and understanding of their clients and the way they think and show up in the world, they are easily able to apply techniques designed to shift perception, change minds and therefore change lives.

Why do people go to a Mindset Coach?
People will often approach a mindset coach for help when they feel as though they are not achieving what they want in their life.

There’s a common feeling of “there’s got to be more to life than this” or “I’ve tried everything to make my business a success, but nothing’s working” or “there’s something holding me back and I don’t know what it is”

Clients may be in overwhelm, from having too many options as to what to do next, or in procrastination, not knowing how to get started or they may lack the confidence to take action to achieve their goals.

The common link between all mindset coaching clients is that there is a misalignment between what they want at the conscious level and the unconscious patterns, beliefs, behaviours, habits and programs that are running in the background.

On the surface, they are saying “I want X” but underneath, their unconscious mind is doing everything in its power to prevent “X” from happening.

This can present itself in a number of ways. Here are just three:
1) Beliefs
2) Behaviours
3) Emotions

What a mindset coach does is to unlock these unconscious (and sometimes conscious) patterns and then work with their client to shift and remove them. These are then replaced with new ones that help the client to move forwards and achieve his or her goals more quickly and more easily than before.

Spiritual Coaching

Spiritual Coaching

What is Spiritual Coaching?
A spiritual coach, also called a spiritual life coach, explores the deeper connections between people and the Universe. They help others gain a new or deeper understanding of the world they live in and the energies that flow within it. Through their work, a spiritual coach will use various healing tools to support their clients’ journeys. They act as a guide to unleashing self-trust and compassion in another person.

People choose to work with spiritual coaches for many reasons. Some of the primary areas in which spiritual coaches often work with clients include:
1) Releasing judgments and negative self-talk
2) Shifting to a positive mindset
3) Developing a sense of empowerment
4) Understanding your true purpose
5) Uncovering your internal blocks to happiness
6) Discovering your own spirituality
7) Understanding who you truly are
8) Learning to listen to your intuition
9) Healing past wounds
10) Manifesting what you want in life
11) Finding appreciation and joy
12) Navigating difficult life challenges

Is spirituality the same thing as religion?
People often wonder if they need to be religious to work with or become a spiritual coach. The answer is no. Unlike religion, spirituality does not come with a set of codes or doctrines. It is about the connection to something bigger than ourselves. By remembering and honoring that connection, people can cultivate feelings of love, compassion and awareness. A spiritual coach will always respect their client’s personal religious beliefs.

Confidence Coaching

Confidence Coaching

What is Confidence Coaching?
When we are confident and believe in ourselves, we feel more able to take risks and do the things that scare us. We don't mean risks like jumping out of a plane here (unless that's a goal of yours!), but activities that our brain might perceive as a risk like speaking up and doing something new.

When we don't have this confidence in our abilities, we can find certain areas of our life affected. Relationships can break down, careers can stale and lifestyles can become unbalanced unless we take action to improve these qualities.

Coaches are equipped with the tools and techniques to help you develop your confidence and self-belief. Confidence coaching is designed to help you raise your self-esteem and create a positive outlook on life, starting from within. The aim is to help you challenge any limiting beliefs that you have about yourself, boost your self-esteem and build a strong self-image.

When you start coaching sessions, the first thing to do is understand your current level of self-esteem, then you have a base to build upon. You’ll gradually increase your self-worth and confidence over time until these traits become deeply ingrained facets of your personality.

Cognitive Behavior Coaching

Cognitive Behavior Coaching

What is CBT?
The aim of Cognitive Behavioral Coaching or CBC as it is known, is to develop ways of thinking and associated behaviours that are more productive and likely to assist an individual reach their desired goals in life. The process helps clients move towards becoming the kind of person they want to be, attaining desired outcomes whether personal or professional.

If someone can talk themselves into being miserable and ineffective they can talk themselves out of such feelings and learn the associated behaviours that will lead to success. Whether emotional or practical, everything an individual needs to be successful can be traced back to a set of skills. CBC helps individuals develop such skills.

Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) is a powerful coaching model that draws on evidence based psychological models. The strategies, activities, techniques and exercises used are effective in helping individuals identify and challenge self-defeating thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Negative thinking leads to negative emotions and negative emotions lead to negative behaviours, all of which has an effect on an individual’s physiology.

Many common daily challenges such as stress, lack of confidence, perfectionism, loss of meaning and purpose, poor communication skills or being less successful at work usually lead back to an individual’s personal perception of self. Cognitive-Behavioural Coaching aims to help clients gain a perspective about whatever is at the root of that person’s difficulty. Coach and client work collaboratively to identify what might be stopping an individual from reaching his or her full potential and what action is needed to take charge of their situation.

REBT Coaching

What is REBT Coaching?
Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) is a type of therapy introduced by Albert Ellis in the 1950s. It’s an approach that helps you identify irrational beliefs and negative thought patterns that may lead to emotional or behavioral issues.

Once you’ve identified these patterns, a therapist will help you develop strategies to replace them with more rational thought patterns.

REBT can be particularly helpful for people living with a variety of issues, including:
1) Depression
2) Anxiety
3) Addictive behaviors
4) Phobias
5) Overwhelming feelings of anger, guilt, or rage
6) Procrastination
7) Disordered eating habits
8) Aggression
9) Sleep problems
